I know it’s silly but whenever a companion leaves I get really stubborn and refuse to like the next one. I’m sure Jenna Louise Coleman will be fine but still I’m sad.

I know it’s how the show works…
but I have no idea how decades long fans of Doctor Who handled companions leaving and the doctors regenerating. I’m only on the 4th set of companions and second doctor and I know I’ll be crushed that the Ponds are leaving. But that’s Doctor Who.

I’m looking at the DW Season 7 filming photos and I’m experiencing two things: 1) Envy. Karen Gillan is gorgeous and HER HAIR. I would kill for her hair but I know I could never dye mine to look like that. She’s so pretty. 2) WHY DO THEY HAVE TO LEAVE MOFFAT??? I’m really attached to them suddenly and I love the trio. I don’t I’ll get used to the new companion eventually but something about these three. Probably because they seem to have solid friendships outside of the show too. I’m really looking forward to this season… also Karen’s shoes (seen in other shots) are rocking my socks.

I’m not impressed

by the selection of the new Doctor Who companion. Another young woman who seems to be roughly the same age as Amy? I don’t expect her to be too different personality wise, either. Steve Moffat usually writes the same female characters over and over.

I grew to like Amy, especially when Rory began traveling with them and by the end of this past season I really didn’t want them to leave. I wish they’d gone in a different direction though. Maybe another guy or a woman in her 30’s or 40’s. I think Matt Smith (and David Tennant) often had better chemistry with “older” women.

I don’t hate the choice but it doesn’t make me excited for the new Xmas special and series.

Oh well, let’s see how many sexist comments Moffat can make from here on! It should be a drinking game.
